The Indian Food Safety and Standard Authority has authorized the Himalayan Yak as a "food animal."

The highest mountain cow in the world, YAK, resides there.

YAK is originally from the Himalayas in Mongolia, Tibet, and Nepal.

Later transported to the US, Canada, New Zealand, and some regions of Europe.

YAKs are creatures with larger hearts and lungs.

Because hemoglobin remains in the blood throughout life, they have a better ability to deliver oxygen through their blood.
